Windmill at Cley-next-the-sea

Windmill at Cley-next-the-sea

During a fantastic visit toNorfolk we stayed In Cley-next-the-sea with the beautiful famous windmill directly behind us. With expected moody ~November weather the skys turned dark in the middle of the day creating darkness everywhere. Suddenly with a beam of light the windmill lit up and I was able to see it bright as day in what was a very dark backdrop. The sun shone that day, but only briefly and only on the windmill.

Sunset

During our a friends trip to Norfolk we went for a long walk to Blakeny and back to our accommodation. Coming home we walked through the most beautiful sunset and this was one of my favourite captured images of that beautiful walk. One of our friends was heavily pregnant and it will always remind us of the joyous build up to their daughters birth

Wet Stag

Wet Stag

During my early days of photography I lucked in with the most opportune moment. While walking at Studley Roger deer park near Ripon with friends it was rutting season for the stags. It was advised to stay well away of any stags and as I turned while walking a Stag jumped into a large water hole close to us and rolled around before getting out, shaking off and then realising we were stood right beside him. He stared me down log enough to point and shoot my camera which wasn't set up for this moment at all having a macro lens on the camera. To this day it is my favourite photo due its spontaneity and the sheer adrenaline I felt as the Stag stared me down.

Dandelion

Our little family used to have a fury little member called Toby. On our walks he often indulged my enjoyment of macero photography. During one windy season I curated a series of photos on windswept flowers. I tried to portray them in a fine art format working on my editing skills which I would later transfer to my portrait and still life photography. A collection of these images will be available soon however please enjoy this one which sparks a very special memory our our late beloved dog Toby.

Scarred Rose

I have a love for portrait and macro photography. During this shoot I tried to merge the two and loved what came out. This shot is part of a series which will also go on sale very soon. The series was inspired by Terry Richardson's style of shooting famous people with flash photography.

Whirlpool

Time does wonderful things to a photo. This image was taken as a long exposure of a beautiful spot in North Yorkshire. This image showed the movement of the waters whirling patterns with all its colours and motion. I love this image as its a true example of something our eyes cannot see by themselves.
